Good POF Headlines as we all know are hard to come across. When you browse online dating sites most people are not unaccustomed to seeing horrible headlines from others. What makes one better than the other? A simple question with a not so simple answer. A good headline is one in which the person conveys who they are and who they aren’t with a few simple sentences. How can you convey who you are? Simple, if you’re a funny down to earth person, have a headline such as, “living for the weekend, drunk off the deep end. If you’re a serious intellectual thinker type, have a headline such as, “The virtues of life are infinite to our connection together.”
Those are a few examples of how your pof headline conveys who you are. Now you might be thinking, how do I show who I am not. Well if you’re not the type of person who parties, or is careless, put something in your headline along the lines of, “serious man looking for serious woman.” A message like that will subconsciously communicate that you are a person who is ready for a serious relationship and is not into playing games or wasting your time. Others will appreciate and respect the fact that your intentions are direct and communicated through your headline.
Plenty of Fish Headlines come in all varieties and lengths. What makes a headline more effective than another one? Some of the things that will cause people to shudder in disgust when reading your headline are the following; if the headline sounds needy or desperate, if the headline conveys that you are looking for a hookup only, if the headline makes you seem like you’re a gangster or wannabe, and if the headline brags about your materialistic goods and tries to show your personality off as arrogant or cocky.
One way to circumvent hatefulness of your description is to come up with and use some Funny POF Headlines that will lighten people up. The humor should not be self-deprecating though, keep that in mind as that is very important when you’re being creative in thinking of a humorous pof headline to use. self-deprecating means it’s something that is making fun of yourself in a “pathetic” type of format. An example of this is saying something along the lines of, “I still live with my mom, but at least she dresses me.” An attempt such as that is a poor excuse for a person still living at home to try to play off his dilemma that he is obviously insecure about into a type of joke. The opposite actually happens though, people laugh at him, not with him, and are saddened by his situation and want to stay away, far far away from him.
This brings us back to our original question of what makes Good Headlines for POF and what makes bad ones. The answer is not as subjective as one would think, but rather objective. What you might think is a great plenty of fish headline, or is funny, others might think is a lame attempt and trying too hard. One way to test out if what you wrote is spot on, or misfiring is to have a friend, of either gender, (using a man and a woman works bests) give you their opinion on what they think. Tell them to be frank and honest. The more people and the more diverse opinions you get, the better of an idea you have about whether or not your point is sticking.
